About the Series

The Serial Killer Connection is a three-part Investigation Discovery docuseries following Kara Robinson Chamberlain and Bonnie Lou as they revisit the life and crimes of Richard “Marc” Evonitz.

Their connection begins with two women whose lives were profoundly affected by the same man and grows into a deeper investigation of Evonitz’s past. Together, Kara and Bonnie retrace timelines, follow leads, speak with survivors, victims’ families, law enforcement, and people who knew Evonitz, and examine whether additional crimes may still be connected to him.

The series also includes interviews with Evonitz’s sister, speaking publicly about him for the first time, along with others whose experiences add new context to the unanswered questions surrounding his history.

Why this Project Matters

Note from Kara:

I have always believed Marc did more.

It was a gut feeling—the same kind of gut feeling that told me, when I was 15, that I was going to get out. Over the years, I’ve quietly kept looking, paying attention to other cases, and wondering what else might fit.

I met Bonnie through TikTok and initially reached out because I thought her story deserved to be heard. She later asked if I would be willing to speak with Talos about a project they were exploring. What started as a conversation about Bonnie’s experience slowly became something much bigger.

Together, we began looking at other cases, revisiting timelines, and asking a question I had carried for years: what else could Marc have done?

That is what The Serial Killer Connection became for me—not just a look back at the man who abducted me, but an opportunity to follow the questions that never really went away and, hopefully, help bring answers to people who may still be waiting for them.
